This year, on October 25, The Republic Day is celebrated for the second time in the country as a national holiday.

Last September 29, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the law" on amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the issues of cinema culture and holidays".

According to this law, October 25 is a national holiday – Republic Day, and December 16 is a public holiday – Independence Day.

In accordance with this holiday, a sports competition was held, organized by the supreme law enforcement unit of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi.

The competition consisted of hand wrestling in different weights,weight lifting,tug of war.

Students from different faculties gathered and tried their hand.

In particular, students of the Faculty of”geography and nature Management " won prizes.

In arm wrestling, Bektemirov Akzhol took the 3rd place, Omirbek Darkhan took the 1st place.

In tug of war, our faculty took the 1st place.
