SMART NATIONS: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND THE DIGITAL ECONOMY

The Sustainable Development Goals are a call to action from all countries. It aims to improve the well-being and protection of our planet. Governments recognize that action to end poverty must go hand in hand with efforts to increase economic growth and address a range of issues in education, health, social protection and employment, as well as combating climate change and protecting the environment.

 

Globally, digitalization began as a process of using digital technologies and data to improve business processes and models. Digital technologies are changing the global economy and society at an unprecedented rate. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated digitalization as governments implemented strict virus control measures and moved essential services online. In this reality, digital transformation was not a choice, but a necessity. Digital transformation is a new paradigm of development and its processes using disruptive technologies, digital connectivity and networks, including artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of things (IoT), digital data.

 

Department of Economics of the Higher School of Economics and Business of the Kazakh National University named a ROUND TABLE MEETING on the topic «SMART NATIONS: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND THE DIGITAL ECONOMY» on April 22, 2023. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss current trends in the development of artificial intelligence and the digital economy, as well as for the effective exchange of experience and opinions between graduates, doctoral students, young scientists on the problems of economic sciences at the international level.

4. Bolatova Aiganym - master's student of the 1st course of the University of Science Po Toulouse, Toulouse, France, the theme: «Artificial intelligence as a focus of digital economy development: Theoretical and practical aspects» (in English)

5. Amalbek Kuralay - Universidad de Castilla La Mancha Universityinini master's student, Ciudad Real, Spain, topic: « Spain's digital economy: current situation and development trends » (in Kazakh)

6. Aruzhan Akatkyzy - 2nd year master's student of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan, topic: « Assessment of the requirements for human capital in the context of the formation of the digital economy » (in Kazakh language).

7. Maisanova Rano - 2nd year master's student of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan, topic: «Digital economy and its impact on the quality of life of the population» (in Kazakh language).
