Educational outcome 

  1. Assess the needs of public health and health care, its problems and prospects for development to improve the quality of life and reduce the incidence of diseases of the population.
  2. Apply scientific knowledge methodology skills and knowledge of advanced epidemiological and statistical concepts in a specific setting to identify public health risks.
  3. Analyze the latest theoretical and practical developments, scientific concepts and achievements of world and Kazakhstan science in the field of public health for their successful implementation in practical health care.
  4. Critically evaluate and systematize information from various sources, including a systematic review and meta-analysis for formatting literature search results in the form of a scientific report.
  5. Conduct scientific research based on the hypothesis of the relationship between environmental risks and health to predict and reduce their negative impact on public health.
  6. Develop new public health strategies, including biological, social, and climate risk management programs for planning anti-epidemic and preventive measures to reduce them in the population and in high-risk populations.
  7. Evaluate public health surveillance programs to develop and implement a system for monitoring population morbidity and high-risk groups and health care delivery activities.
  8. Conduct expertise and evaluate scientific projects and research, monitoring and prevention programs to improve the scientific and evidence base of decisions taken to improve the provision of public health services.
  9. Plan own professional development in the light of current trends in public health.
  10. Ensure the principles of protection of authorship and intellectual property rights for scientific discoveries and developments.
  11. Independently provide methodological support for the educational process using innovative forms and technologies in accordance with bioethical principles for conducting classes with students of medical Universities and faculties and specialists in practical health care in the disciplines of public health.
  12. Master public health theory and practice, scientific writing, and oral communication skills to present research results to professional and non-professional audiences, at national and international conferences; and conduct seminars on public health issues.
