This handbook was prepared by employees of the Ministry of Transport of Canada, the US Department of Transportation and the Secretariat of Communications and Transport of Mexico. ERG is published every four years in English, French and Spanish.

The Russian version of the manual was completed in January 2023 as part of the IUPAC 2020-020-2-600 project, (https://iupac.org/project/2020-020-2-600 ) in cooperation with the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

After the presentation of the "Emergency Response Manual", an exchange of views took place on the relevance of the reference manual in Russian. Copies of the handbook were distributed to representatives actively working in the field of prevention, protection and mitigation of the consequences of emergencies.
