Our fourth-year student Abish Gulim of the Faculty of Physics and Technology of AL-FARABI UNIVERSITY, became the winner of the republican competition "BEST STUDENT OF THE YEAR - 2022" of the national innovation and research center "Bilim-orkenety" and was awarded a diploma of the 1st degree, a medal and valuable gifts.
On November 25, 2022, at the Faculty of Physics and Technology of AL-FARABI UNIVERSITY was held the annual Olympiad in Physics and a chess tournament among schoolchildren of 11th grade and 1st year students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in memory of Associate Professor of the Department of Thermal Physics and Technical Physics Zhenis Omirbekov.
On 22 November at the department of solid-state physics and nonlinear physics took place the pre-defense of the dissertation work of Khaniyev Bakyt “The electrical characteristics of semiconductor gas sensors in the presence of photon exposure” for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty “6D071900 - Radio engineering, electronics and telecommunications”.
On November 23, 2022, on the occasion of the 90th birthday of Kyrgyzbai Baktybaev, who worked as a professor of the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics at the Faculty of Physics and Technology of al-Farabi KazNU, a round table was held on the topic "Prospects of the development of nuclear science in Kazakhstan".
