The composition of the public council of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation has been approved

In accordance with paragraph 8 of Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On public councils” and the minutes of the meeting of the Working Group on the formation of the Public Council of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 11, 2024, the composition of the Public Council of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation was approved.

 

The Community Council is an advisory body established to ensure public participation in decision-making and the development of strategies in water management and irrigation.

 

The composition of the public council represents a wide range of stakeholders, including scientific organizations, universities and government agencies. This new step is intended to increase community involvement in decision-making and strategy formation in the field of water resources management. Appointing representatives from diverse backgrounds will ensure the diversity of opinion and expertise needed to effectively address complex water issues. The presence of scientific organizations and universities on the council will provide access to the latest scientific research and innovative technologies that will help develop strategies for the sustainable use of water resources and reducing environmental impacts.

 

 

Teachers of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, Ph.D., Musina A.K., PhD, Burlibaeva D.M., became members of the public council of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation. They express their readiness to actively participate in the development and implementation of water resources management policies. This not only demonstrates the university community as an active participant in public affairs, but also underscores its commitment to making significant contributions to important water issues.

 

The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation Community Council represents an important step towards developing more sustainable and effective water management strategies by ensuring public engagement and a multifaceted approach to solving complex problems.
