Yegizbaeva Asset, a 3rd year doctoral student in the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics educational programme in "8D07303-Cartography," completed a scientific internship at the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand from January 9, 2024, to March 10, 2024. During her time at AIT, she familiarized herself with the scientific research methods used in the Department of Water Engineering and Management, gathered necessary materials for her thesis on the topic of "Modeling and Forecasting Seasonal Fluctuations in River Flow in the Balkhash Lake Basin based on Remote Sensing," and discussed and consulted with professors from the department. Furthermore, she has written an article for a scientific publication based on the information gathered during her internship at the university.
