On the occasion of the Thanksgiving Day, Al-Farabi  Kazakh National University was offered to wear national clothes to employees and students. This proposal was actively supported by students of the 1st year of the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism, specialty “Restaurant and hotel business”. They organized an exhibition of national ornaments. The exhibition was held on the 1st floor of the Faculty of Geography and environment sciences.

Preservation of historical and cultural heritage is of great importance for society. It allows us to preserve and pass on to future generations our roots, identity and cultural heritage. In addition, it contributes to the development of tourism, the creation of jobs and the economic development of regions.

Tuleubek Serikgali, a 1st-year student, is engaged in making national jewelry together with his grandmother. He told the students about the variety of Kazakh jewelry and shared the work process.
