On the eve of World Civil Defense Day on February 23, 2024, as part of the mass seismic training planned by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the professor staff of the faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences conducted exercises among students on the subject of actions in case of extreme situations. The purpose of the exercise was to increase the level of preparation of faculty students to act in extreme situations, to determine evacuation routes and safe places on campus in advance by students. After the siren turned on at 10.00, students and professor of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences went to safe places along the evacuation route. During seismic training, Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences A.S. Aktymbayeva introduced the students to the rules of behavior and actions in extreme situations, and also told them that they need an emergency suitcase containing essential items, medicines and documents.
