Al-Farabi Kazakh National University invites you on May 5, 2023 to take part in an International scientific and practical conference dedicated to the memory of Academician of the NAS of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Law, Professor, first Chairman of the first Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Baymakhanov Murat Tadji-Muratovich on the topic «The formation of the rule of law and civil society in New Kazakhstan: theory, practice, development prospects».

The purpose of the conference is to discuss topical scientific and theoretical problems of improving the constitutional and legal support of democratic processes in the political and legal life of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the effective functioning of the rule of law and civil society of the country. Special attention is planned to be paid to the analysis of the scientific heritage of Academician of the NAS of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Law, Professor M.T. Baymakhanov on these issues.

• Areas of work of the conference:

·       Theoretical and methodological aspects of the formation and development of the rule of law in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
·       Constitutional reform in Kazakhstan in 2022 as a catalyst for the deployment of democratic processes in Kazakh society;
·       Reform of constitutional and legal legislation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and its impact on the further strengthening of the rule of law in the country;
·       The electoral process in the Republic of Kazakhstan as an indicator of the level of maturity of the rule of law in Kazakhstan;
·       The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan is one of the most important elements of the rule of law: problems and prospects for improving activities;
·       Problems of strengthening the status of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan as an indicator of the effective functioning of the mechanism for the protection of human and civil rights and freedoms;
·       Problems of strengthening political pluralism and multiparty system in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the impact of these processes on the formation of a mature civil society;    

The conference will be attended by leading scientists of Kazakhstan and foreign countries, representatives of state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international and national experts, representatives of civil society, teachers, doctoral and undergraduates of universities, students, media representatives.
