The discussion topic is "Digital Kazakhstan: a look into the future".
On April 16, 2021, the Department of Business Technologies of the Higher School of Economics and Business organized the XIII Republican Student "5В051100 - Marketing" "6В04107 - Marketing" Subject Olympiad in online format through the Zoom application. The Olympiad consisted of 2 stages. The first stage is intra-university, the competitive commission of the university, approved by the rector, on a competitive basis selects and sends the best students of the university to the basis university - Al-Farabi KazNU. According to the results of the first stage, 8 teams were selected. The second stage - the final one, was held on the basis of Al-Farabi KazNU in the format of an online competition of teams and consisted of 3 rounds: a greeting in the form of video, a presentation of the project and a promotional video on the topic: "Formation of an eco-brand of products based on digital marketing" and an online presentation of case study analysis.

On April 8-9, 2021, the Higher School of Economics and Business of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an online International scientific and practical conference on the topic: "The impact of the pandemic on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals: trends and effects". The purpose of the conference was to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the overall achievement of the SDGs in the future, as well as to identify the main mechanisms for reducing negative impacts in developing countries.
On April 7-8, 2021, the annual competition of the best student innovative projects of the University's student business incubators (SBI) was held in an online format on the Zoom platform as part of the International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists and Students "Farabi Alemi". The purpose of the competition is to select the best student innovative business ideas and then assist in their acceleration at all stages of development: from the development of the idea to its commercialization.
The international scientific conference of students and young scientists "Farabi Alemi", held at the Higher School of Economics and Business, has finished its work. The total number of participants is 260, including 2 foreign ones, and 16 from other universities of Kazakhstan. As a result, the winners were determined: 1st place - Isalimbay Nazerke Muratkyzy (Specialty: Economics, 4th year); 2nd place - Dzhanguzhiyeva Inargul Nurlankyzy (Specialty: State and local government, 4th year); 3rd place - Koshetayev Dias Sansyzbayuly (Specialty: Logistics, 3rd year).
On April 6-8, 2021, the International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Farabi Alemi" was held. The meeting of the fourth section of the Department of Management was held on the topic: "Management and state regulation of economic processes in Kazakhstan in the post-pandemic situation". In the fourth section, 59 articles were submitted, of which 20 reports were heard by 8 students, 10 master students, 2 doctoral students of the specialties «State and Local Administration», «Management», «Innovation Management», «Project Management», «Business Administration». Students, master students and doctoral students who made the best reports were awarded with nominations and diplomas of the I, II, and III degrees.
A 3rd year student of the Department of Business-Technologies of the specialty "Logistics" Dias Koshetayev won a scholarship named after Academician Sh. Yessenov 2021 y. Scientific and Educational Foundation named after Academician Shakhmardan Yessenov held a competition for the provision of 17 monthly student scholarships for 27,000 tenge. Koshetayev Dias has excellent academic performance, takes an active part in the general life of the department and the university, always shows interest in scientific research, competitions, and also volunteers.
