President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae Ying met in Almaty with the leaders of various public organizations and active representatives of the Korean Diaspora in Kazakhstan. Also, a conversation with recognized scientists of Korean nationality was held.

In particular, his meeting with the President of the Korean Scientific and Technical Society "Kahak", Head of the Department at Al-Farabi KazNU professor Grigory Mun was very fruitful. During a brief meeting, professor G.A. Mun shared with the President Moon Jae Ying fundamental ideas, which scientists of KazNU are currently working on.

In particular, a group of Kazakhstan scientists headed by prof. G.A. Mun successfully develops a new philosophy of science on the basis of understanding the transformations that occur in modern science. It found the reflection in the form of a fundamentally new unique textbook “History and Philosophy of Science”, created by the efforts of philosophers, chemists, physicists and specialists in the field of information and communication technologies. The textbook was published in 2018 in the al-Farabi KazNU and recommended by the MES of the RK for all master degree level specialties.

One of the main theses of this textbook is the fundamental understanding that the renewal of science, its philosophical basis should be carried out in the interests of all mankind, where all people should have equal rights. This thesis is fully supported by the political and business elites of South Korea, which was confirmed by the meeting.

It should be noted, that the active work of the leading universities of our country contributes to the success of interstate cooperation. Thus, KazNU today has established direct partnerships with 47 universities and organizations of South Korea, with which more than 52 bilateral agreements were signed.
