«Open Day» was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The purpose of the event is to acquaint schoolchildren of Almaty with the peculiarities of studying at the faculty and providing detailed information on admission to the University.

Senior students of KazNU in national costumes of Japan, Korea, India, Turkey, and China met high school seniors of secondary schools, and gymnasiums, lyceums of Almaty.

The leaders of the career guidance work told the students about the activities of each Department of the Faculty. High school students visited the Faculty Museum, Reading room and auditoriums. The official part of the event was made by Deputy Dean for Educational and Methodical Work of Sh. Kanafieva and teachers. At the end, teachers and students answered questions and handed booklets to interested pupils.
