The tradition of the annual International Farabi readings on the basis of Al-Farabi KazNU, which is an open platform for discussion of current scientific, political and social problems in various areas of development of society.The framework of the Farabi readings at 10.00 held IV discussion platform "Parties and party systems: the experience of post-Soviet States." The discussion platform was attended by master's students, doctoral students, teachers of the Department of political Sciences and political technologies.

Honored guest of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Department of political science and political technology, candidate of political Sciences, associate Professor of the Russian state humanitarian University Nikolai Borisov made a report on the party system of post-Soviet States. After that, the report on the party system of the Republic of Kazakhstan was made by the chief researcher of the Kazakhstan Institute for strategic studies, doctor of political Sciences, associate Professor Yuri Buluktaev.
