Scientific research trip of japanese scientists

Since 30.03.18-06.04.18 by the invitation of Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor G.T. Bexseitov Director of the international research laboratory "Geoarcheology" Al Farabi Kazakh National University, was visited on a scientific mission scientists from Japan, PhD doctor of the scientific research institute of cultural values of the city of Nara, Mr. Sadakatsu Kunitake and professor of Tokyo University Sato Hiroyuki. The purpose of the visit was devoted to communication, exchange of scientific interests, a meeting with prominent scientists, experts in archaeologists in the Stone Age.

On April 2 was a meeting of  bachelor, master and PhD students, and specialists in the field of archeology and ethnology with Japanese scientists which was organized at the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology where Professor Sato Hiroyuki made a report on the subject "Pleistocene and Holocene Monuments of the Japanese Archipelago". In the course of the report, Professor Sato Hiroyuki noted the characteristic features of the stone evolution of Japan and compared the data of the monuments with the monuments of the Stone Age of Kazakhstan, having determined the significance of studying this problem. On the part of the listeners there was interest in the subject of the report, as a result of which they asked questions to the scientists for whom the answers were received, at the end of the meeting there was an exchange of opinions and interests.

The next day in the village of Kastek (Karakastek), located in the Zhambyl district of the Almaty region, small archaeological excavations were conducted, initiated by the director of the International Research Laboratory "GEOAREOLOGY", associate professor Galymzhan Beksseitov. The samples were selected for study in Japan. In conclusion, we hope that research work between Kazakhstan and Japan will be found in the future!
