Seminar given by Rahima Abduvaliyeva, a special guest from London

On October 30, Al-Farabi Kzakh National University  invited Rakhima Abduvaliyeva as a special guest to give  the seminar for  the students and teachers  of the Department of  General Linguistics and  European Languages  at the Faculty of Philology and World Languages.  The seminar was held from October,  30 to November, 12. Professor, Doctor of Philology ,  linguist in the field of comparative-historical Indo-European linguistics, she studied  in the best universities of  Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg), England (Guildford), Germany (Kassel) and India (Delhi).
She is the author of a number of manuals  and textbooks on the languages ​​of India, both Hindi and Sanskrit, published both in Russian and German;
In 2005, her book "Phenomenon-sandhi in Sanskrit" in German was submitted for  the Gisela Bon Prize for  the merits in the study of Indian culture in the FRG. 

In March 2011, she was awarded   by  Franz Kafka's  Europen Medal  for her 20-years work to popularize Chingiz Aitmatov's works in Europe and the UK. At present she is the head of Chingiz Aitmatov's Academy.
