On November 26, 2020, the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in cooperation with the Turksib District Department of Education of Almaty City held the International scientific and practical online conference on "Pedagogical and humanistic ideas of Abu Nasr Al-Farabi" dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the great philosopher Abu Nasr Al-Farabi. The conference is intended to attract public attention to Al-Farabi's scientific heritage and the effective use of the concepts of the great scientist as national values. The conference addressed such topics as the ideas of Al-Farabi's treatises, Al-Farabi's heritage and the spiritual and moral development of human beings in a new era, and the role of Al-Farabi's teachings in pedagogy.

The Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Paltore Y.M, who was the moderator of the conference, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. The foreword was given by G. M. Myrzakhmetova, Director of Secondary School No. 61 of the Turksib District of Almaty. Suleimenov.

The conference was attended by foreign guests, scientists, teaching staff of the faculty, employees and teachers of the city education department, students and pupils.
