A lecture on “Kazakhstan's policy in the Persian Gulf region” was held

On 04/12/2024 at 11:00 a.m. in auditorium No. 200 of the Faculty of International Relations of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, with the organization of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Department of the Middle East and South Asia, Kazakhstani journalist, author of a number of works on the Syrian issue, executive director of the public foundation "Al-Farabi's World Heritage" Batalova Akmaral Valerianovna held a lecture on the topic "Kazakhstan's policy in the Persian Gulf region".

The lecture was attended by the teaching staff and students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University B. M. Meirbayev.

Lecturer Batalova Akmaral spoke in detail about the emergence and consequences of the problem in the Middle East, which has become a global problem today, as well as about the factors that led to its aggravation, which aroused the special interest of the participants. Students, undergraduates, doctoral students, especially those who study literature, history, and culture of the Middle East, including languages (Arabic, Persian), asked their questions and received full answers.

Ms. Batalova Akmaral was presented with a letter of thanks on behalf of the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies for her active participation in various humanitarian and moral support actions, demonstrating an example of universal human values and friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Syria, the land where our ancestor Abu Nasr al-Farabi rests, conducting research as a scientific expert on Middle Eastern issues in difficult times for Syria.
