The importance of using online courses on the Coursera platform in the educational process of students was discussed

On February 8, 2024, within the framework of the project “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”, Professor of the Department of Middle East and South Asia, Ph.D. B.N. Dzhubatova conducted a seminar on the topic “The importance of using online courses on the Coursera platform in the educational process of students.” The seminar was organized within the framework of a bilateral agreement between the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture Nur-Mubarak.

The educational platform Coursera is the largest educational organization, bringing together many of the world's leading universities and technology powers in one center with the goal of imparting knowledge in a modern way combined with relevant skills. During the seminar, the issues of using online courses on the Coursera platform were discussed in detail, which is a very convenient tool for obtaining modern knowledge from experts in the field; the platform allows you to conduct additional studies through the specified platform both during the semester and in your free time, and most importantly, the greatest thing about Coursera is that it doesn't take much time to complete the courses.

The next part of the seminar turned into a lecture “Causes, history and current state of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.” The conflict between Palestine and Israel in the Middle East is one of the world's most protracted tensions and has remained unresolved for more than 75 years. The reasons, progress and results of its occurrence were explained and discussed to the students. Students actively participated in the lecture and received complete answers to pressing questions.
