Round table on the topic “Clean water is the key to health”
November 20, 2023, advisors of the Department of Middle East and South Asia, Faculty of Oriental Studies A.E. Zhumadilova, F.T. Zhumazhanov, within the framework of the “Clean Water and Sanitation” item of the “Sustainable Development Goals” (SDGs) project, held a round table on the topic “Clean water is the key to health” for 2nd year students of the specialties “Oriental Studies” and “Religious Studies”. At the round table, issues of water reserves at the global and local levels were discussed, problems of drinking water quality, such as the presence of harmful chemical contaminants, antibiotics and hormones that enter drinking water through sewage pipes and evaporation were considered. Students took quizzes in Kahoot and solved crossword puzzles on mentioned topics. Solutions have been proposed to improve the quality of drinking water.
