On October 11, 2023, within the framework of the project “Sustainable Development Goals”, the item “Peace, Justice and Effective Institutions”, senior lecturer of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia, PhD Doctor Tyulegenov Kairat Muratkalievich gave an interview to the information agency “Inbusiness.kz”, in which he expressed his expert opinion on the situation in the Middle East, in particular, the Palestinian-Israeli issue. As you know, a bloody war has been going on for several days now between one of the Palestinian political parties, Hamas, and Israel, in which civilians on both sides are dying. Kairat Muratkalievich gave an opinion on the reasons for this war, who will benefit from this confrontation and who will lose, whether this will affect the oil market, as well as the likely tactics of shifting the focus of the world community’s attention from the Russian-Ukrainian issue to the war between Hamas and Israel.
