On January 27 teachers of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia and the Department of Sinology of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Doctors of Philosophy Dauyen Dinara and Bokuleva Bota organized a meeting with schoolchildren of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in the direction of chemistry and biology in Almaty. During the meeting, the schoolchildren were given a lecture on such issues as the history of Asian Studies, the evolution of development and the current situation, the influence of Oriental languages ​​on other languages. The students asked many interesting questions related to the history and economy of the ancient and modern countries of the East.

Pupils who asked interesting questions and were active in studying Oriental languages ​​were presented with Korean, Chinese and Hindi phrasebooks. Teachers donated their monographs and books to the school library.

School director G.B. Munkeeva presented a letter of thanks to the teachers of the faculty for their contribution to the spiritual and intellectual development of the younger generation within the framework of the "Service to Society" project.
