During a recent meeting between the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan S. Nurbek and the head of Coursera, it became known that access to global courses for Kazakhstanis has expanded.  This issue was widely discussed in the team of KazNU.  al-Farabi.  Vice-Rector of the University F. N. Zhakypova instructed the deans of faculties, heads of departments and professors to consider new opportunities for using mass online world-class courses in the educational process not only in individual subjects, but also in general educational programs.  As part of the task, today is 2023.  On January 20, the Faculty of Oriental Studies organized a seminar for teachers on the topic of MOOCs on the Coursera platform: from the experience of implementation in the educational process.  At the seminar, Professor of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia B. N. Zhubatova spoke about how to effectively use Coursera online courses in the educational process and shared her many years of experience.  The seminar explained the Coursera for Campus direction on the Coursera platform, its features, the search and selection of the necessary MOOCs, determining the compatibility of their content and learning outcomes, the effectiveness of online courses in the educational process, obtaining a free certificate, training students and teachers, etc.  s.s.  problems explained.  Curriculum coordinators and teaching professors who took part in the seminar asked questions about how to register on the Coursera for Campus platform, models for introducing MOOCs into the educational process, educational programs and opened a lively discussion.  As a result, it was decided to hold a special seminar on the practical side of the problem.
