On May 16, 2022, a round table on the topic “Shahnameh Ferdowsi and Kazakh literature” was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Oriental Studies Faculty Department of the Middle East and South Asia. In Iran, the birthday of the famous Persian poet Abylkasim Ferdowsi is traditionally celebrated annually on May 15.

In the round table "Shahnameh Ferdowsi and Kazakh Literature" participated Mr. Muhsin Fagani, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty, and Mr. Ali Akbar Talebi Matin, Cultural Adviser of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Within the framework of this literary and cultural event, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty, Mr. Muhsin Fagani, donated a number of scientific literature to the Center for Iranian Studies. These books are the works of famous orientalists published by the Ibn Sina Foundation in Russia.
