Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Faculty of Oriental Studies on May 16, 2022 at 14.00 will hold a round table "Shahnameh Ferdowsi and Kazakh literature".

The round table will hold in honor of Ferdowsi Day which celebrates every year on May 15. Within the framework of the round table, the ceremony of handing over the book by the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Mohsen Fagani, as a gift to the Center for Iranian Studies will also take place. Some of these books are in Persian and some are in

Russian. Books in Persian cover language, literature, history, art, philosophy and other areas of science. Books in Russian are the works of famous orientalists published by the Ibn Sina Foundation in Russia. The main part of these books are textbooks for university students, additional literature to the textbook and various scientific works.During the round table will consider the influence of Abylkasym Firdousi’s Shahnama on Kazakh literature, translations into Kazakh and other topics. Well- known Iranian orientalists will speak and exchange views on various topics. Orientalists, teachers and students will take part in the round table.
