The Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University conducted an online upgrade course for university teachers in Persian language and literature of Kazakhstan. The online course was conducted by Orang Izadi, Ph.D., Professor of Allame Tabataba’i University, Islamic Republic of Iran. During the online training course, participants gained a new insight into the invaluable works of classical Persian literature that fascinated scholars of both the West and the East, whose value has not been lost for centuries. And also the participants got acquainted with new methods of studying and teaching the Persian language and literature, especially with interdisciplinary methods. The upgrade training course in Persian language and literature was held from 04/17/2021 to 06/10/2021. At the end of the course, the participants were awarded special certificates of professional development.
