On September 6, 2016 lecturers of the Religious and Cultural studies Department attended a seminar on copyright in the field of reproduction, organized by Executive Director of "Oner Publishing" Temirlan Tulegenov.

"In connection with entry of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the World Trade Organization and the formation of the United Economic Union, the questions of intellectual property protection, the strict adherence to copyright and related rights is relevant,” noted Mr.Tulegenov.

Also highlighted a number of issues concerning liability for copyright infringement when copying written or other graphic works through various technical means.

In his opinion, competition between copyright societies would create a situation where the interests of authors are always in the first place.
