Al-Farabi Kazakh National University announces the Republican Subject Olympiad in Psychology (interuniversity stage), which will be held on April 26-29, 2021 online at the Zoom platform.

Students of 2-4 courses of Kazakhstani universities, studying in the specialty "5B050300-Psychology" - the winners of the intra-university (first) stage of the subject Olympiad in psychology, are invited to participate in the Olympiad. Language of participation: Kazakh, Russian. No more than 3 people can take part from one university, participants of the olympiads of previous years are not allowed to participate.

Participants of the interuniversity stage must send the following documents: a letter signed by the rector (vice-rector) on the results of the intra-university stage of the Olympiad or the decision of the Academic Council of the university, which is drawn up in a protocol (submitted by the participant together with the application, in PDF format).

The interuniversity (second) stage of the Olympiad will consist of three rounds and will be held according to the Olympic system (not all participants go to the next stage):

1st round (1st day). Testing the theoretical knowledge of the participants of the Olympiad - subject testing in basic disciplines (50 questions) After the first round, only one participant from the university with the highest score from the team passes to the second work. If several participants have the same score, then the team itself decides who will go to the next stage. The maximum score is 100.

2nd round (2nd day). Completion of a written assignment in proctoring mode. Interpretation and analysis of psychological methods per person, execution time - 1 hour. The maximum score is 100 points. After the second round, only 6 participants from 6 universities are allowed to the 3rd round.

3rd round. (2nd day) Debate on the air (online), 6 people taking part, who received the best scores according to the results. Participants will be given a topic, according to which each finalist must prepare an oral presentation for 3 minutes and prepare 1 question for other finalists, answer 1 question from other finalist participants. The content of the answer and the ability to present it (communication, analytical and oratory skills) are assessed.

Winners and prize-winners are determined by the sum of points of the results of 3 rounds.

The winners of the Republican Olympiad, who took 1, 2, 3 places, are awarded with diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan I, II, III degrees.

As part of the subject Olympiad, online master classes will be held for participants.

The program of the event will be presented on April 15, 2021.
