Two days 3rd and 4th of April, in al-Farabi KazNU, in the framework of Farabi readings, an International Farabi Forum “Al-Farabi and Today’s World” has been conducted. The participation of members (professors and teachers) of general and applied psychology department became a good tradition.Psychology scientists, master degree and PhD students actively participated in various workshops related to the topic of “Al-Farabi’s psychological ideas in modern psychological surveys”.

Participants emphasized that issues related to person’s inner world are traced in many tracts of al-Farabi, and that triggers the scientists to further study his rich scientific heritage.

In his works such as: "Treatise on the essence of the soul," "The word about the dream," "About the soul power," "The mind and concept," "The word about the youth mind," "About the temperament," and others, where great al-Farabi analyzes such global and actual issues, such as the correlation of psychological and physiological, the essence and structure of cognitive and emotional and volition processes, individual characteristics of a person.

Particular interest of the participants and high appreciation of the workshops’ moderators were given to the reports of A. Kustubayeva "Al-Farabi's views and modern cognitive neurosciences", Tashimova F.S. "Al-Farabi and the features of the semantic analysis of the students personality with different styles of coping behavior," Satybaldina, N.K. "Philosophical and psychological views of al-Farabi and modernity", Kudaibergenova S.K. "Neuropsychological correction of the school studying difficulties", Aidosova Zh.K. "Emotional intelligence and coping with health problems", Sadykova AT "Psychological issues in the works of al-Farabi."

PhD students Trubnikov V. and Rizulla A. shared with the results of their experimental research related to the topics of youth perspectives to the money issues and behavioral mimicry.
