Educational event “Developing auditory skills” within the framework of “Psychology of couching” and pedagogy practice

Date and place: at 1 p.m., 12th of October, 2017; FPF, 314 classroom.

Organizers of the event: candidate of psychological sciences, associated professor, M.V. Mun, 2nd course PhD students A.R. Rizulla and V.P. Trubnikov.

Participants: 3rd course bachelor students, specialization - “Psychology”.

The aim of an event was to contribute to development of listening skills and recognition of one’s own and others emotions.

Methodical support: presentations, audio materials, assessment tools (questionnaires).

The given topic was directed to shed a light into the issues of auditory skills, their importance in psychologist work.

The first part included theoretical frameworks and models, which described the importance of auditory skills for psychologist. The material emphasized that listening is a rare happening ability in nowadays, which contributes to establishing the link between the interactants, understanding others mind and productive relationships maintenance. The following authors were cited: A.B. Belyaeva, A.A. Bodaleva, De Gelder, B., Lass, N. J.

The second part included practical tasks and exercises such as: Ekman emotion recognition test, listening audial materials, role playing games with mimicry.

Finally, the brainstorming activity, discussions and students’ feedback were conducted.

Students actively participated, inclusive creative atmosphere flowed in the classroom.
