Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, the Department of Sociology and Social Work held an International Round Table on the topic: “Poverty in Kazakhstan: a comparative analysis” within the framework of “Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals in Kazakhstan” on  December 11,  in 2023year. The event was attended by students, undergraduates, teachers and guests from various institutions: PhD, ass. Prof. of Narxoz University Abenova Kulzada Abdrakhmanovna,  psychiatrist from the drug treatment center for mental health of the drug service Lyubushkin Andrey Sergeevich, 2nd year master's student in social work Patrick Rosalin Tope, the 1st year sociology student Zhumagali Medina.Kazakhstan and international experiments to combat poverty were discussed on the roundtable.
