On December 9, 2020, the senior lectures of the Department of Foreign languages of the Faculty of Philology and World languages, Makhmetova D.M., Nessipbayeva Z.S. and Lugovskaiya E.I.  held the educational event on the topic: Independent Kazakhstan. The event was conducted with the 1^st year students of the Russian Department of   Physico-Technical Faculty and Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology. The event was organized within the framework of the educational project: “Brighten the corner where you are”.

The 1-year students of KHTOV -101 group of the faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Dzhalyaletdinova Aigerim opened the event. She emphasized the importance of the given national holiday for the Republic of Kazakhstan. Her report was presented on the slides on which she showed Kazakhstan history beginning with the Soviet Times. She made a brief insight into Kazakhstan history.

Then the floor was given to the students of KHTOV -101 group of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology. They told about the way of celebrating this holiday by people in Kazakhstan, foreign policy, friendship relations with other countries. The last report from this group was made by Dana Seitova. She concluded her group presentation with the famous words said by the First President, N.A. Nazarbayev.

The students of Chemistry 101 group continued the event. Their reports touched upon the sphere of science and education. They showed on the slides the current achievement of Kazakhstan in the field of economy and social life. They also said that all nations in Kazakhstan live in peace and harmony.

The second part of the event was opened by the presentations of the presentation of the 1st year students of Technical Physics specialty of Physico-Technical Faculty. Their presentation was devoted to the Modern Achievement of Kazakhstan in the filed of Green Energy. The students showed on the slides the achievements of Kazakhstan physicists in the field of Green Energy and told about the scientific events organized by the scientific community of Kazakhstan in this field.

The event ended with quiz on the topic: Kazakhstan on Kahoot platform. During the event the students demonstrated a high English language competence and their knowledge of Kazakhstan history and achievements.
