On January 8th, 2016 Al-Farabi KazNU Korean Studies Department graduate students were awarded with Korea Foundation Fellowship for Graduate Studies. According to the agreement signed in August 2015, the President of the KazNU G.M.Mutanov and President of the Korea Foundation Hyun-seok Yu, four master's students received scholarships in the amount of 4 000 USD and one PhD students   - 6 000 USD for further research in the field of Korean Studies. Korea Foundation is a longtime partner of our university. For 20 years, the department and the faculty have been actively cooperating with the Foundation in such areas as inviting foreign professors, support in scientific conferences, scientific training for the teaching staff. In 2012, with support from the Korea Foundation an international project Global e-School - online lectures of the best professors of Korean students KazNU - was launched and successfully developed. Such forms of international cooperation are an indication of the authority of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the international scientific and educational space and prove a high level of its students.
