LECTURERS OF THE FAR EAST DEPARTMENT TOOK PART IN THE KAZAKH-KOREAN FORUM "SILK ROAD".

December 4, 2015 in the Consulate General of Korea in Almaty took place an open Kazakh-Korean forum "Silk road".

The main purpose of the forum: the establishment of new areas of cooperation, exchange of knowledge and experience between universities of Korea and Kazakhstan. This forum is the second, the first was held in June this year with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea. Kazakh National University introduced a new theme "The significance of the names of streets of Almaty", which will stage in maintaining mutual understanding between Kazakhstan and South Korea. Lecturers of the Kazakh National University told about the meaning of the names of the streets of Almaty, the history of their origin and cultural significance as a historical heritage of the Kazakh people.
