On April 9, 2021 at Al - Farabi KazNU, Faculty of Philology, Department of Foreign Languages: Associate Professor, candidate of philology U.B. Adilbayeva, senior lecturer G.A. Gaiipova organized an event within the framework of the “Speaking club” with first-year students of the “Information Technologies” faculty of KazNU and students of the Kyrgyz-Turkish University “Manas”.

The event was dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet Zhambyl Zhabayev.

Students of two universities made presentations about the life of the great Kazakh writer Zhambyl Zhabayev, read the poems of the poet "Menin - pirim Suyinbay, soz suylemen siyinbay". The participants discussed the relationship and respect between Zhambyl Zhabayev and the great Kyrgyz poet Toktogul Satylganov. Students watched House-Museum of Zhambyl on YouTube.

The discussion was very interesting and informative, and each student was able to get something useful from this meeting for himself. The meeting was organized on the ZOOM platform.
