On February the 1st, 2021, the members and participants of the English Club of Songs Lovers held the annual meeting on the ZOOM online platform. The senior teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology and Foreign Languages, Mussanova G.A. and Orazayeva G.A. organized the event. Theme of the event was “Famous British Hits". The members of the Club were 1st year students of 101, 102, 103, 104, 107 groups of the Faculty of Law, specialties "Jurisprudence" and "Law Enforcement", Kazakh department.

         One of the leaders of the Club, Mussanova G.A. welcomed the audience and participants of the event. At the club meeting , the club members communicated mainly in English. The participants made presentations on the topic of the event and sang The Beatles song "Come together". The students talked about the authors, discussed the content of the song, and did grammatical and lexical analysis of the song lyrics. The following club members and students prepared slides, made reports and presentations on the topics below:

1) Talgat Aiyum “Hit songs and popular singers of the 1980s-1990s”

2) Aldibek Moldir “Famous songs and singers of 1990s-2000s”

3) Yessenbekova Elizabeth “Hit songs from 2000-2010”

4) Kiyanbekuly Dias “British hit songs in the last decade of 2010-2020”

5) Zhunuskhan Serik и Yesbatyr Nursultan “The Beatles” and their song “Come together”

6) Beisebayeva Kazyna, Kuatkhanova Aruzhan и Saavatuly Damir “The Beatles”

7) Kairatkyzy Aiman analyzed the grammar and vocabulary of the song “Come together”        

         Students took part in the fifth meeting of the Club with a pleasure, at the end of the event they sang the song “Come together” in English. The event passed in a warm and friendly atmosphere. This meeting brought together students who strive to improve their speaking skills and their knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary by listening to Famous British hits. Also the students actively participated in the event having demonstrated a good competence of English language. The leaders of the Club of English Song Lovers” noted the good work of the Club members: well-prepared presentations,technical support of the event. At the end of the event, the leaders of the Club thanked the students for their active participation.
