On January 20, 2022, at 10 a.m. Almaty time, on Zoom platform Prof. Kurşat Cesur from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (Turkey) delivered a lecture on the topic: “A series of academic writing tips” by the invitation of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University administration. The teachers of English language, PhD students, master degree students and linguists from the universities of Kazakhstan, Turkey and Kyrgyzstan joined the online meeting to listen to the lecture. Prof. Kürşat Cesur started his lecture with the words of gratitude for the opportunity to exchange his experience in the field of writing research articles with the colleagues and the students from the universities of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to Dosmagambetova J.D., the head of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University administration.

   During the lecture Prof. Kurşat Cesur talked about the main stages of writing research papers, the peculiarities of academic style. He also shared web resources for searching literature and for the analysis of statistical data. At the end of the lecture the audience asked the lecturer questions. The teachers, students and scholars expressed their words of gratitude to Prof. Kursat Cesur for very informative, illustrative and interesting presentation. Dosmagambetova J.D., the head of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, thanked Prof. Kursat Cesur and expressed a great desire for further cooperation.
