"My Favorite Writer"

On December 15, 2021 senior teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​Tleugabylova Z.A., Makhazhanova L.M., Khalenova A.R., Bekalaeva A.O. and Bakasova A.K., a teacher of English at the Higher College of Toraigyrov University, prepared and held a literary evening "My favorite writer". The event was held online as part of the "100 Books" project with the participation of the 1st year students.

Moderators: Sagynbaeva Asem, Turlymbet Shugyla greeted all participants: “Welcome to our literary evening “My Favorite Writer ”. We know and love many great writers. But today we want to talk about a very special person, a great writer, the "Queen of detectives" - Agatha Christie".

Agatha Mary Clarissa, known by the name of her first husband as Agatha Christie, is an English writer and playwright. She is one of the most famous authors of detective prose in the world.

The works of Agatha Christie have become one of the most published in the history of mankind. She published over 60 detective novels, 6 psychological novels and 19 storybooks. 16 of her plays were staged in theaters in London.

Agatha Christie's books have been published in over 4 billion copies and translated into more than 100 languages ​​of the world.
