Develop your listening comprehension skills!

Watching video films in English is a way to train your listening comprehension. If at first you find it difficult to catch what the characters are saying, use subtitles. If you watch a movie every day for 15-20 minutes, breaking it into fragments, then after a few months you will begin to understand speech without subtitles. So learning English from films helps you get used to different accents and intonations. One example is the movie King Arthur:

British Prince Albert is to ascend the throne as King George VI, but he has a speech impediment. Knowing that the country needs her husband to communicate effectively, Elizabeth hires Lionel Logue, an Australian actor and speech therapist, to help him overcome his stuttering. An extraordinary friendship develops between the two men as Logue uses unconventional means to teach the monarch to speak with confidence.

Discussion of the film took place online, on December 4, according to the plan of the "Movie Fans" club within the framework of the "Cult of a Healthy Body" project. It was attended by 1st year students.

The moderators of the event were Ayman Yelesbayeva and Nargiza Mukhamadalieva. Auezbayeva Zhanar and Ordaly Amina played the game "True or False", Muhamadaliev Nargiza "Who is this?".
