The multi-disciplinary section in the framework of the IV International Farabi Readings "Environmental safety and health. Substance Safety: Implementation of the OECD Program Areas" will be with the participation of an expert from OECD programs Khamidulina Kh.H. (Russia), Head of the Department for Scientific and Innovation Activities of the Scientific and Practical Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Expertise and Monitoring, Nashmetdinova A.Sh., Leading specialists of the National Nanotechnology Laboratory, Institute of Combustion Problems, Department of  Biotechnology, Department of  Epidemiology and Hygiene of KazNU Al-Farabi. The section dedicated to the world exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana.

The program includes: exchange and discussion the results of methods for obtaining nanoparticles studies, their physicochemical properties and biological effects, an assessment of the possibilities of using nanomaterials in the production of goods and products for medical and domestic purposes, and in solving environmental problems.

Expected result of the forum will be the definition of the prospects for international scientific interdisciplinary cooperation of chemists, physicists, biologists, ecologists, medical specialists of Kazakhstan and Russia in the development of OECD programs on the evaluation of safety of nanomaterials in Kazakhstan.
