The training is conducted in the Kazakh, Russian and English languages.

At the faculty annually are trained more than 1000 students and employs 150 staff, including doctors, candidates of Sciences, doctors PhD.

At the faculty there are the Centre for sociological research and engineering, the Centre «Al-Farabi», scientific-innovation Centre of educational research, the Centre «Qazaqtanu (Kazakhology) and National innovation», a Psychological laboratory, the Student club «Nur».

The faculty of philosophy and political science supports scientific and educational links with the universities and scientific centres of the USA, England, France, Germany, China, Turkey, Iran, India and Russia.

At the faculty are formed the dissertation councils on defense of doctor dissertations (PhD).
Preparation of experts is carried out by professors and teachers of 6 departments.

Philosophy is the fundamental science, covering all areas of human knowledge. Education, obtained in the process of training in the specialty «Philosophy», you will be able to realize:
- in the higher and average special educational institutions, working as a teacher of philosophy, ethics, logic, and other philosophical disciplines;

- in the public service (in Administration of the President of RK, Ministries, Akimats);
- in the scientific-research and management institutions;

- in the organs of analytical services of the NSC and the state administration.

A specialist with the fundamental philosophic training is always in demand on the modern labour-market, because of his education allows to work successfully in various spheres of economic, political, spiritual and social life of the society.

Culturology – humanities, studying the culture as the integrity through the prism of cultural formation of man and society. The relevance and the prospects of cultural studies are determined by the processes of integration of civilizations and globalization. The professional activity of the specialists, trained in the direction of «Culturology», in demand: in the educational system (in higher educational institutions, colleges, lyceums, gymnasiums); research and management institutions; administrative authorities; in the system of external relations of the state, public movements.

Specialists - culture experts may work as consultants-art critics in the organizations and establishments of culture (in the museums, in the national-cultural centres, etc.) and other spheres associated with cultural institutions. Students of culturolology are professionally trained in the following areas: socio-cultural activities, management in culture, art, historical culturology, theory of culture, cultural anthropology, philosophy of culture.

If you chose the specialty « Religious study», then you are capable of a high professional level analyze confessional problems.

The students are available to provided well equipped sports complex of the University, calculated on 1600 places the Palace of students named academician U.A. Zholdasbekov, sport-fitness camp on the Lake Issyk-Kul (Kyrgyzstan).

Students are given a hostel in environmentally clean area of the city KazNU campus; students have the the opportunity to use free of charge information system of Internet; the local area network functions.

There is a reading hall for 120 seats, library, which specialties has more than 250,000 copies of books in the educational building of the faculty.
