12/09/2022 at the college of KazNU names Al-Farabi hosted an online international scientific and methodological conference "Modern technical and vocational education: problems and prospects".The purpose and objectives of the scientific conference: focus on modern trends and development of science and education, discussion of prospects and trends in the development of science, education and production, exchange of experience with foreign and Kazakh researchers on conceptual issues of science and education and coordination of this work.
Teachers of secondary vocational educational organizations of Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan took part in this conference, shared new ideas and created an interesting platform for the exchange of opinions.
Today our university hosted a scientific-practical conference "Actual issues of combating corruption", dedicated to the International Anti-Corruption Day. At the scientific conference organized by the Faculty of Pre-University Education of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Chairman of the Almaty Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Orazkhanuly ORAZKHAN, Head of the Prevention Department of the Almaty Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kanat Asimbayuly SALIMBAEV. The moderator of the conference, the dean of the faculty of pre-university education Suatai Sabit Kurmanzhanuly conveyed warm greetings to all the participants of the conference from the rector of KazNU. al-Farabi, Chairman of the Board, Professor Zhanseit Kanseituly TUIMEBAYEV. The guests who participated in the scientific conference noted that the fight against corruption is an important issue necessary for the future of the country, and in this regard, the loyalty and human duty of every citizen is the main principle of the state interest.
Today, our faculty hosted a poetic evening "Time and Happiness" by Bakyt Bedelkhan, laureate of the international literary award "Alash", "Red Star named after Bauyrzhan Momyshuly", deputy chairman of the Union of Writers, playwright, famous poet. The evening was led by the dean of the faculty Suatai Sabit Kurmanzhanuly, who expressed gratitude on behalf of the university leadership to the poet. The poet Bakyt Bedelkhan, sincerely thanked the young students of the faculty who recited the poems of the poet by heart, presented a collection of poems called "Temiren". During the evening, questions were asked about the life and work of the poet.
In the period from 18 to 24 October 2022 teachers of the Department of Language and General Education training of foreigners held several educational events dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Depending on the level of language proficiency, events of different formats were held. The languages of the events are Kazakh and Russian, depending on the language of instruction.
The events were held by the curators-advisors of all study groups, as well as the heads of the local history club "Sayakhat" and the educational club "Kazakh Studies". During the events, foreign students received information about the modern history of our country, as well as about modern Kazakhstan. The teachers answered all the questions that arose during the meetings.
Аl-Farabi KazNU organized another event "Altyn kuz". The event was attended by teaching staff, students of the Department of pre-university training and an exhibition organized by the circle "Zhas Sheber". Various crafts were presented at the exhibition. The talented youth of the department performed at the festive event, which pleased the guests. The Chairman of the Management Board-Rector of the University Tuimebayev Zh.K. gave a high assessment of the organized exhibition.
October 8 at KazNU. al-Farabi organized a subbotnik. On Saturday, the leadership, the defense industry and students, headed by the dean of the faculty of higher education S. Kurmanzhanuly, took part. The main goal of Saturday is to add beauty to the beauty of the city and the university, to improve its cleanliness and environmental conditions. The head of the department, teachers, professors and students who participated in the event actively contributed to maintaining cleanliness at the faculty during the subbotnik.
On September 26, 2022, the curators of the Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners took part in an event organized by the Confucius Institute at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University dedicated to the National Day of the People's Republic of China celebrated on October 1. Together with students from China who are studying Russian, the meeting was attended by Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Pre-University Education Keldebekov Kanat Karakulovich. An interesting concert and information program was presented to the guests. It should be noted that the Department of Language and General Education Training of foreigners has a long-standing fruitful relationship with the Confucius Institute, which is the flagship of the training of specialists in the Chinese language in Kazakhstan.
The message of President K-J.K.Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan, which was presented to the attention of the society on September 1, 2022, is a program document defining the ways of development of the country in the near future. That is why it has found a warm response in every active member of society. At the Faculty of Pre-university Education, the Message was discussed by the teaching staff of the departments: the Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners, the college and the profile school, as well as the leadership of the department. The speakers at the meeting analyzed the document, telling about the President's ideas concerning various aspects of society. As a result of the discussion, the participants came to the conclusion that the September Address lays a strategic fairway for the further movement of the country towards the formation of an optimal balance between the market economy and effective public administration. The central place in this system is given to the role of a person as the main value and an indispensable condition for successful development. In this regard, the faculty staff expressed their full unanimous support for the plans of the head of state, and committed themselves to make every possible effort to implement them.
In the summer of 2022, schoolchildren from America arrived at al-Farabi Kazakh National University under the youth Program of the US Department of State "Language Initiative for Youth" (National Security Language Initiative for Youth - NSLI-Y). The purpose of the visit of young Americans is to improve knowledge and develop Russian language skills. In addition, the NSLI-Y program involves acquaintance with the host country and immersion in the culture, as well as in the daily life of the country of study.
Teachers of the Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education warmly welcomed the youth landing from the USA. The head of the program from the Kazakh National University is Ulzhan Yesenovna Musabekova, Doctor of Philology. The organizers from the Kazakh side offered the attention of the high school students who arrived in Almaty a diverse program of teaching Russian as a foreign language, including the development of skills and abilities in all types of speech activity, depending on the level of language proficiency, as well as an interesting plan for visiting cultural, historical, natural attractions of the southern capital of Kazakhstan and its environs. A rich excursion program developed by the organizers (first of all, teacher Taisiya Vitalievna Kurmanova), made it possible to actively communicate with the local population, personally observe the preparation of dishes of Kazakh national cuisine, watch the jigging, Kazakh national games and even get a master class on horseback riding ...
