Upon completion of this program, students are expected to be able to do so:
1. Identify topical problems of Oriental philology, highlight aspects of research, and correlate traditional and contemporary research objectives in the development of Oriental philology.
2. Apply various methods of analysis and interpretation of artistic and historical manuscripts in the Oriental language in the research process.
3. Critically assess modern theories, problems and approaches, new trends in the study of written monuments and philological concepts in Eastern countries.
4. Critically use the achievements of modern linguistics and terminology of oriental languages, expanding the methodology of research of written and spoken material in the context of theoretical and applied projects.
5. Creatively solve professional tasks and problems in the translation process, taking into account cognitive, linguistic and cultural contexts, relying on pragmatic, functional strategies.
6. Integrate interdisciplinary knowledge in research processes on a wide range of problems of Eastern countries in order to describe and analyze in depth contemporary situations.
7. To make thesauruses of texts with comments, industry dictionaries with the use of IT technologies, to develop templates, clichés in the Eastern language, operated in the business sphere.
8. To compare the language pictures of the world of Kazakh and Oriental peoples, to generalize the language transformations and to organize projects on the problems of interaction in the field of linguoculturology.
9. To develop scientific projects on actual problems of the studied Oriental language and literature, interrelations and mutual influences of languages and literature of the countries of the East.
10. To carry out a comprehensive analysis of literary works from the standpoint of ideological and thematic content, genre features, plot-compositional features, style and poetics; to demonstrate the ability to use the methodology of other humanities in the analysis of artistic works.
11. To develop methods of teaching Oriental languages, combining, modifying traditional and innovative methods for the implementation of educational activities in the classroom and information network.
12. Critically assess the results of their own scientific, pedagogical and professional activities and expand the registers of communication in the Eastern language, to design the trajectory of further professional and scientific growth.
