Upon completion of this program, it is expected that undergraduates should be able to:
1.Differentiate the modern scientific paradigm in the field of translation theory and the dynamics of its development, the system of methodological principles and methods of scientific research; put forward scientific hypotheses in the field of professional activity and consistently develop arguments in their defense;
2.Characterize adequately aspects of sociocultural, intercultural communication; apply the basic constructions of the official, neutral and informal communication registers;
3. Analyze the current tenets of translation theory; identify translation problems, the specifics and characteristics of interlingual mediation;
4. Synthesize and structure interdisciplinary knowledge in the process of solving research problems; operate with modern methods of scientific research in the subject field;
5.Adapt modern achievements of science and innovative technologies to the educational process; integrate digital technologies and new research methods;
6.Formulate and solve problems arising in the course of research activities; to assess the validity of the methods used in scientific research;
7. Apply different discourse in professional activities; translate and adapt cultural-audiovisual materials; determine the features of negotiation, diplomatic communication and its national-cultural aspects;
8. Compile and execute scientific documentation (dissertation, reports, reviews, abstracts, annotations, reports, articles, bibliography and references); overcome language interference; to identify convergence and divergence in the structure of the respective pairs of languages;
9.Interpret and translate various types of texts using traditional methods and modern information technologies, including using modern software;
10. Adequately choose the necessary translation strategy depending on the genre of the translated text; simulate possible situations of communication between representatives of different cultures and societies;
11.Create, edit and review professional texts; extract the necessary information from the text and transmit it by means of another language depending on the goals of communication;
12. Develop a strategy of behavior, based on professional and corporate ethics, keep confidential information, plan your speech and non-verbal behavior, taking into account the specifics of the communication situation;
