1. December 2009 – The Chair of Japanese Study conjunction with the University of Tsukuba, held an international theoretical and practical conference: "The Japanese Study: Kazakhstan and foreign experience" with the participation of faculty. Materials published in Japan.

2. December 2009 - The Chair of Japanese Study conjunction with the University of Tsukuba, held an international youth student forum with the participation of graduates and students. Materials published in Japan.

3. Teachers of The Chair of Japanese Study - Shorina D.A. and Borankulova S.I. participated in an international conference "Cooperation of Japan and Central Asian countries in sphere of attracting students and of the promotion of research activities" conducted by University of Tsukuba (Japan) - July 2010

4. Teachers of the Chair - Shorina D.A. and Nurelova A.A. participated in the Third International Seminar on Learning Japanese language in the Turkic-speaking countries. The Theme was "Innovative methods of teaching Japanese language." The seminar was attended by representatives of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The seminar was held on August 28-29, 2010. Ankara (Turkey).

5. The Lecturer of the Chair- Ryspekova N.S. participated in a workshop for teachers of Japanese language at the Institute of CIS countries in Asia and Africa, Moscow State University. The issues relating to grammar and methodology of teaching the Japanese language were discussed at the seminar organized by the Association of Japanese Language Teachers of CIS countries, which is chaired by renowned Japanologist Nechaeva L.T. The seminar was attended teachers from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, as well as experts of the International Foundation Japan.

6. 2-3-4 - November 2010. The Chair of Japanese Study conjunction with the University Vasseda held the International Round Table on the topic: "Language, Society and Culture at the crossroads of civilizations" with the participation of the faculty, the undergraduates and the graduate students.

7. 9 - 12 February 2010. The Chair of Japanese Study with the University Vasseda held a seminar on intercultural communication involving undergraduates.

8. On a joint project of the Chair of Japanese Study with the company Toshiba in May 2011, the Chair has received the training materials of Japanese language and newest equipment.

9. It has been planned to begin joint Drafts with the University of Tsukuba from September 2011 for the preparation of a textbook in Japanese.

10. Teacher Shorina D.A. will take part in an international scientific conference on the topic: "Teaching of Japanese Language in various countries" - August 21 in China.
