Infrastructure of KazNU

Today al-Farabi Kazakh National University is a real city within the city, a showplace of the city of Almaty and a kind of a business-card of the city.

The university, which is situated in an elite region on a territory covering a large amount of hectares, the university has all the necessary infrastructure and takes into account all the needs and necessities of the students: their study, life, sports, recreation, treatment and other aspects of students life. Being situated in such a huge city as Almaty, the campus of KazNU is well-known as one of the “greenest” parts of the city; its greenery counts 18000 trees and take an area of 37000 m^2.

Educational and laboratory buildings are situated here, as well as library funds, dormitories, reading-rooms and Internet-cafés, multimedia and computer classes, U.A. Zholdasbekov Students’ Palace, a first-aid point, a feeding plant, sports complex, trade and production centers, cinema, post office, a center of public services etc.
