In December 2014 at the Department of Recreation geography and tourism, Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences in the framework of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University "Invitation foreign scientists" the review lectures of foreign professors were held on the following courses:

1. "Hotel and Restaurant Management", Professor Prof. Dr. Burhan Sener (Chairman, Tourism Professionals & Academicians Association Ankara, Turkey) and professor of the University of Gazi (24 November -10 December 2014);

2. "Problems and Prospects of Development Recreation and Tourism", Professor V.I. Kruzhalin, Doctor of Geography, Head of the Department of Recreation Geography and Tourism, M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia (1-13 December 2014);

3. "Ecology Tourism", Professor David Lorant, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, Head of Department of Tourism (Eszterházy Károly University College, Hungary) (8-19 December 2014);

4. "Scientific approaches and methods in regional studies", Professor Zsolt Huszti, PhD, Senior lecturer, Director of Institute of Economics and Tourism Studies University of Pécs, Hungary (11-25 December 2014).

Professor’s lecture attended by undergraduates, graduate and doctoral students as well as teachers of the department. In the frame of the program there are scientific consultations for masters and PhD students as well as discussion of educational programs, joint research projects and opportunities foreign scholarship programs for the staff of the Department.
