An event on the theme "Museums of the World - a Wonder of the World" was held at the Al–Farabi Kazakh National University as part of the International Museum Day.

Museums work as keepers and propagandists of historical and scientific data, ancient monuments, and cultural heritage.

Today the main museum of the history of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University operates in the rector’s office. It stores historical documents and photographs relating to almost a century of history and spiritual heritage of the university.

This year, mainly students of the Faculty of foundation program were involved in the event. To date, more than 7000 foreigners from more than 100 countries studies at KazNU’s training program. Graduates of the faculty currently fruitfully work in different parts of the world, international organizations governmental structures.

As part of the event, students visited the KazNU History Museum and held a presentation on the topic "History and Traditions of World Museums". The youth was also presented with online tour of the various museums of the world.
