At the next meeting of the Academic Council, the issues of the admission of students and the construction of a residential building for employees of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University were discussed.

Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee Natalia Yem presented certain measures to ensure high-quality admission of students. So, to date, the calendar of the admission campaign has been prepared, the secretariat of the admission committee has been formed, the list of technical secretaries for faculties has been approved to ensure the acceptance of documents.

The report also presented data on the quality and dynamics of the performance of students, as well as planned values and dynamics of changes in threshold scores for admission to the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. This year Kazakhstanis who have served in the army will be able to enter universities without passing the UNT. In this connection, the head of the university gave a number of instructions to prepare for the admission of this category of applicants.

Head of the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics Aizhan Asylbekova reported on measures to ensure high-quality admission of students to the university's educational programs, highlighting the tasks of the admissions committee, which organized online meetings with schools to consult on the choice of educational programs, campus tours of the university, participates in university fairs in online and offline formats, etc.

Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, during the discussion of the speakers' speeches, instructed the deans to intensify work on the admission campaign, providing a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the contingent of the 2022/23 academic years, strengthen career guidance work with applicants, provide technical support for the smooth operation of the admissions committee, intensify campaigning work with the owners of "Altyn Belgi" and the winners of the republican Olympiads in order to improve the quality of the incoming contingent, to pay attention to the organization of summer holidays for students, etc.
