KAZNU CELEBRATED THE 85TH ANNIVERSARY OF ALIMKHAN ZHUNUSBEK

A two-day international interdisciplinary innovation forum "The Key to the Bright Future is a Developed Language" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the outstanding Turkologist, professor, founder of the school of Sinharmology Alimkhan Zhunusbek has started its work at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

                                       

At the beginning of the event, a congratulatory letter from the Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev was read out. Alimkhan Zhunusbek is a scientist who has made a significant contribution to the development of the science of linguistics. He studied Kazakh phonetics, issues of spelling and orthoepy and the theory of vowel harmony. In St. Petersburg, the scientist defended his PhD thesis on the topic "Vowel Sounds of the Kazakh language".

                                   

"Alimkhan Zhunusbek formed his own scientific school, has taught many worthy students. The scientist's research in the field of linguistics and Turkology was evaluated as significant achievements. His textbooks, dictionaries on linguistics have been introduced into scientific circulation. The University never forgets its scientists who have made a great contribution to the development of science, and it is our duty to popularize and promote the works of our great teachers and scientists," the Rector of KazNU noted.

                                     

Also at the plenary session, reports of well-known domestic and foreign scientists were presented master classes were held. Participants in the sections discussed the following topics: "Getting Rid Of Prejudices in Teaching and Using the State Language", "Linguistic Code of Artificial Intelligence", "Principles of the Alphabet for Language", "In-depth Study of Texts Using Neural Network Technologies (deep learning)", etc.

                                       

                                           

Well-known scientists from the USA, Japan, Turkey, China, Korea, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, as well as doctoral students, undergraduates, teaching staff of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the conference, which was held in the format of an exchange of creative thoughts "Brainstorming Meeting", along with famous Turkologists of the country.

                                          

                                          

The second day of the forum will be continued at Khoja Ahmed Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University.
